Atlanta Skydiving Center Offers "Big" Opportunities

Doug Glover has "big" plans for Atlanta Skydiving Center this summer. The first Saturday of each month, Doug will be putting together a big way practice. Last Saturday, the group met and put together some challenging skydives.

All were pleased to get back in the air with old friends and some new ones as well. If you are interested in being part of the action, stop by the drop zone the first Saturday of each month.

Scott Gray is planning to attempt a new Parachutists Over Phorty Society (POPS) record in June. The event is slated for June 10 and 11. The group will attempt to smash the current Georgia state record of a 12-way by targeting a 16-way or more. If you are interested in participating in the record, contact Scott at ScottGray@Comcast.net.

The GSL Is Back at Atlanta Skydiving Center

Atlanta Skydiving Center is proud to welcome the GSL back to Cedartown. Atlanta Skydiving Center will be hosting Round 3 of the GSL on May 20th. The event, which will consist of four to six rounds, will be divided into two categories: intermediate and advanced. Each 4-way team that participates will be given a free video slot for the jumps.

BCCP Thursday, May 18

The Breakfast Club of Canopy Piloting (BCCP) will be holding our monthly meeting Thursday, May 18, at 8 a.m. sharp. The Club gives all skill levels an opportunity to work on canopy skills with Atlanta Skydiving Center instructors. Coaching and video debriefing is free of charge. All are encouraged to come out and take part in some early morning jumps.

And don't forget Thursdays are FREE gear rental days.

Graduates

Atlanta Skydiving Center has two new AFF graduates. Congratulations to Clifton Elsner (pictured right) and Jeff Chaffin, who graduated on Saturday. Clifton went on to complete his packing class on Sunday, along with new jumpers Katherine Haney, Michael Crawford, and Ryan Walker.

We will be cooking out Saturday evening at the drop zone, so come out and make some jumps. And, when the jumping is finished, enjoy some awesome food, compliments of Atlanta Skydiving Center.
