Beautiful weather on Saturday brought many skydivers and future skydivers out to ASC. Saturday’s temperatures rose into the 60’s with excellent conditions to get out and have some fun from 14000 feet.
Team One was on hand to organize jumps that allowed all levels of jumpers to participate in skydives that challenged the newbies to the seasoned veterans.
The weekend also debuted the ASC School of Flight which will offer coaching
for all levels of skydivers. From getting your A-license to learning to freefly, ASC, including Joey Day, Noah Bahnson, and Junior Ludvik of Team One as well as Chuck Owen of Team Millennium, is committed to helping every skydiver achieve their goals. Take advantage of this awesome service and be the best that you can be.
AFF Grads
Congratulations to a few of our newest ASC Accelerated Free Fall Graduates. Blaine Camp and Stu Cohen completed their AFF courses over the last two weeks. We look forward to seeing both of you out at the drop zone more often. Don’t forget, gear rental is free on Thursdays.
Canopy Course Line Up!
ASC is proud to welcome Scott Miller to Cedartown February 5th and 6th
. Scott runs the Freedom of Flight School in Deland, Florida. He will be traveling up to the DZ to give the Essential Skills Course to all of the Full Time Staff as well as a few other people who would like to get a little more out of their canopy flight.
The course allows jumpers the opportunity to hone skills they may have neglected. I have taken the course myself and I can tell you that it opened me up to a whole new world of Canopy Flight. If you would like to get some coaching for Mr. Miller, check out the schools website: www.freedomofflight.tv
Scott Miller’s Course is only the beginning of a long line up ASC plans on having out the DZ over the 2007 season. Jay Moledzki will be in town March 10th and 11th. He will be coaching some of our local swoopers on competitive swooping.
Moledzki, a member of the PD Factory Team, is competitive swooping. He currently holds the World Record in Distance with a recorded length of 678 feet. That is over 2 football fields. You can check Moledzki and the rest of his team out at www.pdfactoryteam.com.
2007 Good Vibes Boogie hosted by Team ONE March 28 – April 1
It is still a little ways away, but this year’s Good Vibes Boogie might just be the best boogie that has ever been hosted at ASC. Joey Day of Team ONE has lined up a lot of action that is sure to make everyone have a good time. First, the mechanical bull will be back at ASC. Add organizing by Sporto of Team Mayhem and Jimmy Tranter of CK1, KY Jelly Wrestling, an Oxygen Bar, and a swoop competition and you may just have the sickest event ever.
I encourage anyone who has not been to the Good Vibes Boogie to make your plans now. This End of March Boogie will leave you speechless. Who says that the big boogies are dying? Our boogie is just getting fired up. For more information, contact Sunman: www.myspace.com/teamoneskydiving
