The Georgia Skydiving League (GSL) held a 4-way Relative Workshop at Atlanta Skydiving Center this weekend. The camp helped prospective participants hone their belly skills while having a lot of fun with friends, old and new.
For most, it was the first chance to be introduced to organized RW. Four teams participated in the camp and worked on everything from exiting the aircraft to flying body positions.
On Saturday night, Atlanta Skydiving Center provided dinner prepared by the Jumping Jesus Café. Afterwards, the group sat down, relaxed, and watched jumps from the day.
Organizer Anthony Stone was surprised with the turnout for the camp. He was proud to see that RW is alive again in Georgia! If you would like to be a part of all the RW action, Round 1 of the GSL starts Saturday, May 12th, at 8:30am at Atlanta Skydiving League. Happenings Around Town
Congratulations to Nick Hartline and Jason Oliver who graduated Accelerated Freefall this past week. Both are very excited about jumping out of perfectly good airplanes! Have fun guys and be safe!
Laura O'dowd and Paul Thorn both reached milestones as well this past week. O'dowd completed her 1000th leap of faith while Thorn made his 100th descent. Thorn did not let anyone know that he was doing his 100th jump until about 8000ft. He was going to do a solo, but the Atlanta Skydiving Center crew changed all of that and made a very successful 9-way hybrid. Both Paul and Laura were subsequently pied for their accomplishments shortly after sunset!
Don't forget Mother's Day is just around the corner. Give your Mother the experience of her life: a Tandem Skydive at Atlanta Skydiving Center!
