Atlanta Skydiving Weekly News
Christmas week started out with a fairly busy Monday as
we flew several Twin Otter loads. Belly flyers had a good
time with some 5- and 6-way dives. Packer, swooper and freeflier
Kenny Pugh owes beer (maybe his Mom can buy it for the drop
zone) for making his first (and second) tandem videos on
Monday. Kenny should be part of the fulltime video crew
soon at ASC.
Experienced jumpers braved the cold on Christmas Eve to
make one hop and pop, but then called it a day due to being
frozen. :-)
Ben
and Tammy Butler had family members, friends and local skydivers
over for dinner on Christmas Day. The food and company was
great!
And
finally, Saturday was not only one of the most perfect skydiving
days of this early winter but one heck of a day for a new
member of the ASC clan. Travis graduated the AFF program
Saturday morning and on the sunset load he landed a two-stack
with one of our experienced CReW dogs, Stewart Cavanaugh.
On Sunday, his mome came to watch him skydive for the first
time and he marked off a number of items on his A-License
proficiency card in a coach jump with Mike Gruwell. Congrats
Travis!
We're
flying the Twin Otter all week, so come jump if you have
New Year's Eve or New Year's Day off from "the man."
Don't forget $15 jumps on Wednesday. See ya...
