The Breakfast Club for Canopy Piloting was off to
a successful start on Thursday thanks to Dan, Tyler
and Mike. We flew two Twin Otter loads before 8:30 a.m.!
Our second meeting of the BCCP will be Thursday,
April 8 at 7:30 a.m. Come practice your canopy
skills, work on your swoop, qualify for your PRO
rating or get your A-License proficiency card signed
off. There will be free Chik-fil-A biscuits for
all jumpers arriving at 7:30 a.m.
This week's Saturday night seminar will be given
by Stewart Cavanaugh. He will give a refresher
course/talk on spotting the aircraft. Laura, Tatyana,
Lee and
Tyler did a great job with solving the
mis-rigged gear during last week's Saturday night
safety seminar.
Congrats to Will and Todd for graduating AFF this
weekend! Welcome to the ASC skydiving family!
Kinetic Energy 1, Kinetic Energy 2 and Intrepid
trained on Saturday. The two 8-way teams combined
for a 16-way jump at the end of the day followed by
Tyler and Nate's sunset tracking dive. Sunday was a bit
windy in the morning, but we still managed a several
loads in the afternoon as the wind calmed down.
And Chuting Star added two more saves to its list as
Jesse Watson cutaway from line twists at ASC and
Kevin Kaminski did the same at our Alabama drop
zone in Pell City.
Lastly, make sure you congratulate Kenny Pugh as he returned
from Chicago with his senior rigger rating on Sunday. You'll
see more of him in the loft!
