Safety Day at Atlanta Skydiving Center was a huge
success as 75 skydivers stayed well after jumping on
Saturday night to attend 5 safety seminars. The
jumpers were all rewarded with free dinner and beer
as well as $16 jumps on Sunday.
Thanks to Kenny Pugh, Kevin Kaminski, Nate Gilbert,
Darren Doyle and our trusted pilot Shawn for speaking
on skydving safety. Topics included equipment, canopy
flight, aircraft procedures, emergencies as well as
the overall skydive.
Mike Gruwell returned Saturday from his two weeks of
Master Rigger training and testing. Mike earned the
Master Rigger Certificate in Eloy and also made 25
jumps with TJ Landgren. TJ is planning to be back at
ASC for a couple of weekends this summer coaching and
organizing.
One last note, look for Atlanta Skydiving Center ads
in Parachutist starting next month. Our upcoming
events will be posted in each ad. Upcoming events
include BirdMan seminars/demo suits with Baxter,
State Head-Down Formation Record Attempts organized
by Nate Gilbert, CASA Boogie with PD and Mirage
booths/reps onsite as well as ASC's first swoop
competition of the year organized by Team Flatline.
